UNC Researchers use funding from NASA to create urban heat maps

Some specific parts of cities are much hotter than others, sometimes by up to 6 degrees Fahrenheit on average. Xuewei Wang is a data scientist with UNC’s Data-Driven Envirolab, a group that has been working to create “heat maps” of urban areas.

Documentary looks at racist origins of Kenan Stadium’s name
