Many students were shocked when Donald Trump was elected the 47th President of the United States. At UNC, where the vast majority of students voted for Harris, those disappointed with the election results sought spaces to decompress and express complicated emotions.

According to an AP survey, 69 percent of Americans are experiencing election anxiety. Experts are advising people to take time away from the news to decompress.

UNC-Chapel Hill is realigning 27 positions and eliminating 20 more. $5.7 million will be reallocated to other programs.

Students signed a petition calling for UNC to allow Jamie Marsicano to walk at graduation. Marsicano was banned from campus after she was arrested and charged with domestic terrorism in Georgia.
