UNC’s efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion may soon come to an end. A committee of the Board of Governors voted this week to repeal a 2019 policy that promoted DEI.  The committee approved a proposal that says all 17 UNC system universities must terminate their DEI Officers or change their roles.  The full Board of Governors is scheduled to discuss and vote on the proposal next month.
