UNC defends its decision to stop offering a controversial class that dealt with the history of big time college sports. A new exhibit documents UNC’s racial history. Students who can’t go home for Thanksgiving have options on campus for a holiday celebration.

Many students react with anger and fear to Donald Trump’s victory; Muslim students are particularly anxious. UNC honors its veterans, and offers to help them transition to academic life. The clean-up from Hurricane Matthew continues, and UNC is helping. Hypnosis is becoming more common, both in modern medicine and in more casual settings.
