Author Jill McCorkle receives UNC award, reflects on her college days

One of the people being honored at this year’s Universty Day ceremony today is Jill McCorkle. McCorkle is a UNC graduate, former UNC faculty member, and renowned author. Since graduating in 1980, she has published six novels and r collections of short stories.

UNC is giving her a distinguished alumna award. On the eve of the ceremony, she talked with Carolina Connection about the award, her career, and her time undergraduate time at UNC.
