Few local bars plan to allow guns

On October 1, a  new law will go into effect in North Carolina that will allow people to bring guns into restaurants and bars… as long as it’s okay with the shop owners.

But there is a lot of opposition to the idea in Chapel Hill. When people drink, they don’t always do the smartest things … and adding a gun to that equation seems like a bad idea to a lot of bar owners on Franklin Street.
