Student describes Hurricane Matthew’s effect on hometown

Hurricane Matthew dumped as much as 12 inches of rain across portions of eastern North Carolina last weekend. The rain caused flash flooding in many towns, resulting in extensive damage to homes and roadways. Robeson County was one of the places hit hardest by the storm. John Thomas talked with UNC freshman Lexy Locklear earlier this week about just how much the hurricane affected her hometown.
