101-year-old gardener carries on after sister’s death

Just down Gimghoul Road in Chapel Hill, there’s a garden wrapped around a 90 year old house.

For 35 years…the garden was looked after by twin sisters Bernice Wade and Barbara Stiles, who celebrated their 101st birthdays April 20. But in June, Stiles passed away.

Jessica Coates spoke with Wade about what it’s like to live on…and garden…without her.
