Artis appears in court, denies assault allegations

Earlier this month, UNC Sophomore Delaney Robinson made the rare decision to go public with allegations of sexual assault against UNC football player Allen Artis.

Robinson said she did it because she felt the University and the District Attorney’s Office weren’t taking her case seriously. Robinson also decided to press misdemeanor charges against Artis.

Artis appeared in court Thursday in response to the charges. In a press conference after the hearing, Artis strongly denied Robinson’s allegations.
