Board of Governors give up records on closed-door meeting

The UNC Board of Governors has faced a lot of criticism over the last month about a lack of openness.  First, there were complaints that the board was too secretive in hiring Margaret Spellings as system president. Then, the board – behind closed doors – gave pay-raises to a dozen chancellors. 

This week, state lawmakers asked the board to turn over records regarding that closed-door meeting. So, the board held another meeting Friday to talk about that.
