State seeks death in Hicks case

A Durham judge has allowed the case against Craig Stephen Hicks to proceed as a capital case.

Hicks appeared in court Monday. He faces three counts of first-degree murder in the killings of UNC student Deah Barakat; Barakat’s wife, Yusor Mohammad Abu-Salha; and her sister, old Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha.
