State restores bonuses for some teachers with advanced degrees

A controversy in Raleigh this week ended with good news for some Masters students at UNC.

The State Board of Education voted to partially restore a program that gives bonuses to public school teachers who complete Master’s Degrees.

The legislature had decided to end the program earlier this year.
