The cost of an education at the sixteen universities in the UNC system is on the rise. The Board of Governors approved tuition increases Friday averaging nearly 9 percent for in-state undergraduates.

After the vote, some students were waiting outside for the board members, chanting and yelling “shame on you” as they filed out of the meeting room.
