Student-athletes at UNC and other colleges and universities are now allowed to profit off their name, image, and likeness. But while some got big branding deals, others are content with smaller compensation.

States across the country are passing legislation in an effort to let college athletes profit from their name, image and likeness. In North Carolina, that legislation has yet to gain political traction.
