NC’s booming wine industry

There’s an unexpected industry booming in North Carolina – the wine industry. Sure, it’s still tiny compared to California’s, and no one will confuse western NC with Napa Valley. But during the past ten years, the state’s wine industry has taken off. According to the North Carolina Tourism Division, there are now five times more wineries.
