How will young adults’ mental health be affected if Tiktok’s time is up?

The Trump Administration is trying to facilitate a sale of TikTok to avoid a Congressionally enacted ban.

 

TikTok’s fate in the U.S. still hangs in the balance after the Trump Administration gave an extension to the app’s Chinese owner to find somebody in the U.S. to buy it. If that doesn’t happen, there’s a chance the app could shut down – as it did briefly last month.

UNC professor Rosa Li is a former researcher at the Winston National Center on Technology Use and Brain and Psychological Development. She joined Carolina Connection’s Sarah Ellis to discuss potential impacts a TikTok ban could have on young adults.
