UNC-Chapel Hill is upgrading the physical accessibility of its campus. Initiatives include new instructor training for working with disabled students and $5 million allocated to Facilities Services to address inaccessible restrooms, elevators, and classrooms.

Some advocates are concerned about the pace of these improvements and whether they represent the most pressing needs faced by disabled students and staff.
