A UNC initiative is trying to reduce suicide statewide

 

UNC Chancellor Kevin M. Guskiewicz announces the “Carolina Across 100” program in March 2022. Among the program’s initiatives is an effort to reduce suicide statewide.

Suicide is the second leading cause of death for people aged 10 to 18 in North Carolina, and it’s the third leading for those aged 19 to 34.

A UNC initiative called Carolina Across 100 has launched a new statewide project, Our State Our Wellbeing, to reduce suicide.
