UNC housekeepers are demanding better pay after they received a raise last year that they’re calling “disrespectful.” On Wednesday, UNC employees and students rallied outside South Building and then outside the Board of Governors meeting in Raleigh. These most recent demonstrations are part of a months-long push for better wages, free employee parking, and an end to laws banning collective bargaining by unions.
