Professors group to investigate political interference at UNC System schools

The American Association of University Professors—known as AAUP—has created a special committee to address structural racism in the UNC system. The association advocates for academic freedom and the rights of faculty on university campuses.  The committee plans to look at how the state legislature influences the UNC System Board of Governors and the Boards of Trustees at system schools. Anita Levy is AAUP’s senior program officer and the coordinator of the Committee.
