Pet adoptions are increasing, but owners should be ready to make a longterm commitment

As people are spending weeks alone at home, some have chosen to make a new furry friend. While there’s been a spike in pet adoptions in North Carolina, shelters want people to be mindful of the commitment that’ll remain long after we can all step outside again.
