Judge orders Confederate group to return most Silent Sam funds to UNC System

This week, Judge Allen Baddour made another ruling on Silent Sam, ordering the Sons of Confederate Veterans to return most of the $2.5 million it received from the UNC System as part of a short-lived legal settlement over Silent Sam.

The group also was ordered to return the monument, which faces an uncertain future.
