Today marks seven years since UNC student Faith Hedgepeth was found bludgeoned to death in her off-campus apartment. Hedgepeth grew up in Hollister, an unincorporated community of fewer than 1,000 people in northeastern North Carolina. She was known by friends and family as an outgoing personality, with dreams of becoming a pediatrician and giving back to her Native American community. No arrests have been made in the investigation of her death.

Jared Weber has the story.
