Coach Mack Brown begins a new Tar Heel victory tradition

After an emotional 24-20 victory over South Carolina on Saturday, the Tar Heels got their first glimpse of a new football tradition: the Lighting of the Bell Tower, a tradition Mack Brown brought from his time at the University of Texas. After each victory, the team plans to light the bell tower Carolina blue as a symbol of success. It’s a spectacle that has coaches, players, and students excited for a season filled with new beginnings.
