Carolina Square brings more chains to Chapel Hill

Franklin Street is changing at a rapid pace this year. Independently owned stores like The Bookshop and Chapel Hill Comics are closing, following the recent losses of Jasmin Mediterranean and McAlister’s Deli. More new projects are still to come.

A new complex is going up on Franklin Street where University Square once stood.
