UNC student’s opinion on ‘blackout drinking’ makes New York Times

UNC Communications major Ashton Carrick wrote an opinion piece that was published in The New York Times this week. Carrick is surprised by something she’s seen in college culture: drinking for the sake of blacking out. And she thinks she knows the motivation.
