This weekend, two campus groups will place 2,996 flags around the Morehead Patterson Bell Tower, honoring those who died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.  Most college students were just starting elementary school when the attacks occurred. However, most current UNC freshmen were only about three years old during the attacks and don’t have a vivid memory of them.
