Student protester reflects on motives, cost of protesting

One of the protesters who was not seen at the Board of Governors meeting is Madeleine Scanlon. After attending a board meeting in January where she and three other students were arrested, Scanlon can’t attend a meeting for another year.

We talked with her about her pathway to becoming a student protester here at UNC, and whether it’s worth the arrest and media attention.
