Local doctor takes positive approach to ALS treatment

Even as the warmth of spring begins to touch North Carolina, you probably aren’t rushing to splash around in ice-cold water outside. But last year’s Ice Bucket Challenge had many people doing just that, braving buckets of freezing water to raise money for ALS research.

An estimated 30,000 Americans suffer from this neurological disease, and 15 new patients are diagnosed in the United States every day.
