New voter ID laws leave students confused

A new North Carolina voter ID law takes effect for this year’s primary election. It will require each voter to show an approved photo identification at the polls.

This week in Winston-Salem, a federal trial began on the law’s constitutionality.But for now the law remains in effect, and students at UNC have questions about how to meet the new requirement.
