Media coverage of mass shootings scrutinized

Thursday, a gunman shot and killed nine people and injured nine others at a community college in Oregon. According to the Mass Shooting Tracker, the U.S. is averaging more than one mass shooting per day in 2015.

Some question how the media are covering mass shooting and those responsible with them.  We talk with UNC Media and Journalism Associate Professor Lois Boynton.
