Repurposed drug can prevent HIV

There’s a medication available that few people recognize, and it’s opening up conversation about HIV and stigmas surrounding it. The drug is called PrEP, and research has proven that it can prevent HIV in some cases.

Avery Hall talks with UNC professor Dr. David Wohl, the co-director of HIV services at the North Carolina Department of Corrections, to learn more about it.
