Bill would require professors to teach more

A new bill in the State legislature would require UNC system professors to spend more time in the classroom and less time doing research. It would force professors to teach at least eight courses per academic year to get their full salary.

Right now, they teach on average 5.6 courses a year.

Professors aren’t exactly the biggest fans of the proposal.
