5K raises funds for cancer research

Carolina Fever decided to hold the Fight Cancer 5k, which fundraises money for children with cancer.   Fever is working with local cancer foundation Vs. Cancer… started by former Carolina Baseball player Chase Jones.  The foundation supports kids with cancer by helping organizations raise money for research and hospitals.

5K’s are a popular way to raise money for charitable causes on UNC’s campus. And once things get a little warmer they happen all the time. This week, the Fight Cancer 5K will be sponsored by Carolina Fever and the Versus Cancer Foundation. It’s a big event with some classic Carolina roots.
