Several hundred students gathered Friday on McCorkle Place on UNC’s campus. They rallied to change the name of Saunders Hall.

The building was named after William L. Saunders, who was known for his work in compiling historical documents. But he was also the chief organizer of the Ku Klux Klan in North Carolina.
