Young voters inactive in midterms

After Tuesday’s election, North Carolina has a new senator, and a new set of exit polls to analyze.

Out of all the votes cast in the Senate race, which was won by Republican Thom Tillis, only six percent were submitted by college-aged people. That’s much lower than any other age group.

We talked to several young voters to find out why.
