Members of the UNC community remembered Chuck Stone as journalist who dedicated his life to chronicling the struggle for civil rights.

Stone, a retired newspaperman and UNC professor, died in April at the age of 89. His career as a journalist and educator spanned more than five decades, in which he covered Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcomb X, and several national and world leaders.
