Midway a staple of Carrboro’s culture

When Midway Barber Shop was founded in the early fifties, it was on the outskirts of town and its customers were almost entirely African American.

Today, it’s located at one of the busiest intersections in Carrboro and the clientele has diversified. But, Midway still offers haircuts for ten bucks and a place for the community to gather.
