In his 36 years as North Carolina’s head basketball coach, Dean Smith won 879 games and two national championships. His contributions on and off the court will never be forgotten in Chapel Hill, but a progressive memory disorder over the last several years has kept him out of the public eye.
Very few people have had a window into his private life. Tommy Tomlinson of ESPN recently published an emotional article exploring Smith’s life from past to present. He now joins us to talk about the work.
