AP classes popular, but maybe for the wrong reason

Since 2003, enrollment in high school Advanced Placement courses nationwide has more than doubled.  AP courses have been available since the 1950s to allow high school students the opportunity to get a jump on collecting college credits. But has this growth been for the right reasons?
