Hemp and marijuana both come from the same plant. One is a drug, and the other is being researched as a useful material to make clothes or build homes.

The Farm Bill that Congress passed this week authorizes hemp research in eleven states.

Though North Carolina didn’t make the list, reporter Parth Shah went on the hunt for hemp.
