The North Carolina Press Association has named Carl Kasell the 2013 North Carolinian of the Year, and that’s just his most recent achievement.
Kasell, who attended UNC in the 1950’s, was an NPR newscaster for thirty years. As a student, he helped launch WUNC radio and worked at WCHL.
He visited UNC this, and spoke with Carolina Connection’s Mike Rodriguez.
