Medical marijuana supporters push for legalization

The issue of drug use is always a concern on college campuses, but in North Carolina, older people might be most affected by the latest push to legalize marijuana.

A state legislator has introduced a bill that would legalize marijuana for medical use. 19 states and the District of Columbia have already done so.

While the bill faces long odds in North Carolina’s Republican-led General Assembly, that didn’t stop supporters from rallying at the capitol this week.
