Trustees OK gender-neutral housing

UNC will provide gender-neutral housing as an option for students beginning next fall.

The Board of Trustees approved the change this week. Securing gender-non-specific housing has been a high priority for members of UNC’s gay, lesbian and transgender community,who say they’ve felt threatened by other students in their current dormitories.
