President hopes to rekindle support from young voters

Early voting is underway in North Carolina, and hundreds of UNC students have already cast their ballot.

In 2008, young voters and UNC students helped Barack Obama become the first Democrat to carry North Carolina in more than 30 years. Nationwide, youth turnout was the highest since 1992…and the third highest since 18-year-olds earned the right to vote. Those numbers sound pretty daunting and might be tough for President Obama to match.
