Some students are criticizing the makeup of a recently-formed planning committee for lacking diversity and failing to represent the interests of people most impacted on UNC campuses.
The Advisory Committee on Strategic Directions will be central to determining the future of academic standards and financial plans for the state university system for the next five years, and some students say that it has too many politically conservative members.
UNC system President Tom Ross addressed these concerns at Thursday’s Board of Governors meeting.
