The Chapel Hill Town Council is appealing a court ruling that overturned the town’s towing regulations. Councilman Lee Storrow said the town wants towing companies to accept credit cards as well as have better signage in towing zones. The town also wants towing companies to cap the price they charge car owners.

Storrow said that until the appeals court makes a decision about the case, towing companies are free to do what they want.
