Policy raises academic standards for Greek organizations

Academic standards for fraternities and sororities at UNC are getting tougher. That’s because of policies that go into effect this fall. Greek organizations will need an average GPA of at least 2.7 for the university to recognize them. That’s up from 2.5. And if they want to recruit freshmen in the fall, they’ll have to meet an even higher goal–the same average GPA as the entire campus. Carolina Connection’s John Caison reports.
