UNC reacts to NCAA sanctions

by John Caison

“Ready to move on” has been the phrase of the week at UNC. That’s after the football program learned its final punishment from the NCAA.

It’s been more than two years since the NCAA started investigating UNC’s football program. It found some players cheated in classes and took gifts from agents. In response, UNC put itself on probation, cut scholarships, and imposed a $50,000 fine. But this week, the NCAA said that’s not enough.

Carolina Connection’s John Caison details the final ruling, as well as how some UNC students, professors and coaches are reacting to it.
