Amid investigation, new Athletic Director named

UNC has named Lawrence “Bubba” Cunningham as the school’s new Athletic Director.  Cunningham has held the same job at the University of Tulsa since 2005.  He’ll take over a Tar Heel program that has been tainted by revelations of misbehavior among football players.  Among Cunningham’s first tasks will be hire a new head football coach to replace Butch Davis, who was fired as a result of the scandal.
